About Us

Welcome to the Lucia Mar Unified School District. Located along the California Central Coast between Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo, Lucia Mar is the largest school district in San Luis Obispo County.
 
Lucia Mar Adult Education provides free access to education for students aged 18 and over. We offer High School Diploma courses, test preparation help for GED and US Citizenship, and a full-service cosmetology school. We also partner with Cuesta College to offer free ESL classes.

Army Career Invitational

The Army Career Invitational is a one-day event for participants to explore career pathways through the U.S Army. The event is open to all US citizens and permanent residents aged 18 and older, and participants are not required to have any prior background, skills, or experience to join the event.

Our Kids First

Governed by a seven member Board of Education, Lucia Mar proudly educates more than 10,000 students who attend Lucia Mar’s eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one independent student study school, and one adult education program. Ongoing partnerships with community colleges, state universities, and local businesses also provide an important role in educational improvement.
